The timber on this classic high street shop frontage was in a bad state of repair, and with limited time to complete the works before opening day was a tall order. In the end ‘wet paint’ signs were required as the work was completed with just a few hours before the ribbon was cut. I am please to say the grand opening was a great success and no one got paint on their cloths, phew!

Works carried Out:

Sand down existing paintwork to the shopfront and remove original signage.

Make repairs to rotten timberwork .

Fix marine ply to head, and seal all joints.

Apply two coats of grey Dulux weathershield undercoat.

Apply two coats of Black high gloss weathershield topcoat.

This was a pretty straight forward commercial decoration project to new internal hardwood timber screens and doors. The new frames were stripped of the door furniture and intumescent strips were masked up. They then received a coat of dark grey zinsser 123 bullseye primer sealer and two coats of trade Satin finish paint.

In addition to these works the skirtings through out the public areas were primed and finished in a white satin finish.
