Figtree house

Brief: To decorate the building throughout.

This once grand Victorian building had layed empty for decades and was virtually derelict when Flollie Investments decided to purchase it and make it into their flagship 11 bed care home for dementia sufferers. A year and a half on, this great building is now standing proud once more.

Due to the proposed use of the property the colour scheme inside was critical. We were not to use gloss paints if at necessary and communal rooms, sanitary, and private areas would be easily distinguishable by their individual colour schemes.

Internal works carried out;

Prepare all paintable surfaces, Apply a mist coat and two top coats of white emulsion to all ceilings. Apply a mist coat and two top coats of coloured emulsion to all walls. Fill, and knot all timberwork. Apply 1 coat of primer, 1 coat of undercoat and two topcoats of eggshell to all internal doors, storage doors, handrails, radiator covers,  skirting’s, architraves and windows. All wet rooms were painted with a waterproof and easy clean paint.

External works carried out;

Prepare all windows and doors and both conservatories for decoration. Apply 1 coat of a external coloured base undercoat and 2 coats of coloured Opaque. Apply 2-3 coats of Sandtex smooth masonry paint to rendered areas.

Gallery of rooms finished and furnished.
